I’ve been lurking and not posting much recently. It’s been a busy summer between work, family functions, friends and a couple weddings. I haven’t been able to get as much done on the car as I’d like, but I’m slowly making progress. After dealing with some vapor lock issues I think I may have finally gotten those sorted for the most part. I had some time to myself last night so I took the car out for a cruise.

It feels great to just have the car out and not be diagnosing issues. I am however still struggling with getting the carb tuning down to where I would like it to be. So I said screw that noise and ordered up an EFI kit.
I went with this one from FiTech. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Not only does it provide a lot of nice options that some of it’s competitors don’t have, but it’s also literally half the price. Even though it’s still new and I’m taking a bit of a risk on an unproven product, I’m excited to see what it’ll do and how it transforms the car!

Black is the perfect color for ‘69s, this thing is awesome.

Thanks! At this time of day the car appears as black, but the color is actually a metallic slate color. In the bright sun it has almost an aqua greenish tint to it.

Yuss thank you for sharing, this is a really, really nice car. Also thank you even for the affordable efi kit link, that guy’s goin in my bookmarks for a project sometimes
Ever think you’ll take it to an auto x or Track night thing?

That’s the plan, but there’s a lot to do to get the car to a point where it would survive that type of activity. I was hoping to get in out on track this year, but that was a bit overzealous on my part. The EFI will certainly help however. Once I have that dialed in as well as the rest of the tuning, the car should be fairly bulletproof and I’ll get it out on track.
For what it’s worth on teh EFI system, I haven’t obviously been able to see it or test it yet, but the company’s customer support has been top notch so far.
